    Australia's markets regulator has given 'trading algorithm' its first legal definition and attached testing, per-algorithm kill-switch and seven-year record duties that also reach AI-enabled trading. The duties bind brokers, not agents, and they don't start until 2028. The definition is short enough that any agent placing orders can check itself against it today.
